There is a pain deep inside of me
An aching and a longing to be free
From this thing they call humanity
My eyes see another place
And I view it from behind another face
Peering without leaving a trace
And seeing a world that is scarred
My heart is wounded deep inside
My soul it weeps and it cries
The agony too much for me to bear
Trying to deny that it is there
Only sighs of anguish do I hear
As my spirit reeks with anger and with fear
That I will lose the sanity I claim
And never again be the same
