So many times we ask ourselves
Do we really do enough?
Or do we shun those in need
Ignore and rebuff?
Have our lives become so comfortable
That we never truly see
The needs of those around us
Those hearts that truly bleed?
Would
From those hearts we see as weak
Or would he become their guiding light
The path for which they seek?
You would think by now that man would strive
To walk a straighter walk
To lend a hand, to bend a knee
Use kindness when we talk
Instead we stand and argue
At petty things and more
We defame the poor and innocent
With an arrogant rapport!
Mankind would be much better
If it would learn from its mistakes
Work at making lives more equal
For everybody’s sake
They should study words of wisdom
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged
And learn to cherish one another
Never to begrudge
The necessities for living
For every soul deserves the best
For no man is better than another
Each is equally blessed
We should ask ourselves the question
Do we really do enough?
Or do we shun those in need
Ignore and rebuff?
Would
From those hearts we see as weak
Or would he become their guiding light
The path for which they seek?
